How to Look Good and Feel Good Whilst Working Out
Returning to the gym after a long break can often be a daunting challenge and it can be difficult getting back into the swing of things, particularly when it comes down to your fitness regime. Although primarily, your fitness is all that matters, we all know it is not your fitness goals are not the only thing you worry about when it comes to making an appearance in the gym. The productivity of your gym session can often be determined by how good you feel and look whilst working out so here are a few ways you can improve how you look for the gym.
Dress for Comfort as well as Style
When it comes to choosing your attire for the gym, it is important that you pick clothes that suit your body shape to offer maximum comfort and minimum restriction. Wearing restrictive clothing for the gym will result in an uncomfortable and pointless workout. Pick a fabric that allows you to bend and move freely. Ensure that it is breathable to allow for your sweating. It is a good idea to invest in some comfortable designer lingerie for maximum performance in your workout.
Flatter your Figure
Choosing something that flatters your figure is an integral factor of looking and feeling good when in the gym. Restrictive clothing is going to hug your figure in all the wrong places and impact on your confidence and self-esteem, especially when looking in the big gym mirrors that surround you. High-waisted gym leggings are super flattering and will hold your stomach in. Pair with a t-shirt or crop top.
Stay Hydrated
It is crucial to stay hydrated, before, during and after your workout in order to look and feel good. Staying hydrated will impact your performance and prevent you from becoming fatigue and distracted. It will also stop your body from overheating and cramping up, not only can this be seriously dangerous, but it also doesn’t look too good in the gym if you faint. Drinking water with electrolytes in will restore your body with extra nutrients, sodium and potassium that is lost through your sweat although this is not a necessity and water will work just fine.
Sweatbands
Not only will sweatbands prevent sweat from dripping into your eyes which can be super distracting when working out, they also look super cute. You can wear your sweatband with your hair up or down.
Sports Bra
Wearing a sports bra will not only offer you maximum comfort so you are able to workout freely, but it also looks better under your gym clothes. Wearing a bra that is not special made for sport or that is ill fitted can result to health problems such as back and neck pain and poor posture.
